How much does GTA VI cost?

The prices that are official
The US PlayStation storefront lists two editions:
| Edition | Price (US) |
|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 |
These are the platform’s US prices. Your region will differ — stores use their own price tiers, not a currency conversion.
Why $79.99 rather than $69.99
Eighty dollars is not an anomaly but an industry-wide move: major releases have been drifting above seventy dollars for a few years now. Rockstar is not first here, but GTA is the most visible case, which is why the number gets discussed.
How to find your own price
Open the game’s page in the store for your platform and region: PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. That gives both the amount in your currency and the exact contents of the edition.
We deliberately do not list per-country prices here. There are dozens, they change, and a stale number is worse than none: someone will take it as fact and be annoyed at checkout.
Is Ultimate worth it
The difference is twenty dollars. Officially, Ultimate is described as a curated selection of extra content “touching every aspect of Jason and Lucia’s adventure” — but the contents are not broken down. So the decision is currently made without knowing what exactly you are buying.
The sensible order is to wait for a breakdown, either from Rockstar or on the store page, where contents are usually itemised. More on the editions in a separate piece.
