Is GTA VI coming to PC?
Last updated: 2026-08-13 · in English
The short answer
Nothing has been announced. The game’s official page lists two platforms — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC is not among them, but there has been no statement that it will not happen either.
That distinction matters. “Not announced” means the decision is either not made or not disclosed. “Not coming” is a claim nobody has made.
Why nearly everyone expects a PC version anyway
The confidence rests on how Rockstar has behaved before, not on leaks:
- GTA IV — consoles in 2008, PC in December of the same year.
- GTA V — consoles in September 2013, PC in April 2015, a year and a half later.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 — consoles in October 2018, PC in November 2019.
- Red Dead Redemption (the first) — years on consoles with no PC version at all; the port only arrived in 2024.
That is a consistent habit: consoles first, PC later, with a gap of a few months to a year and a half. But a habit is not a promise, and the last example shows it is not absolute.
What we will not do
We will not put a date on a PC version. Any date right now is guesswork, and guesswork delivered in a confident voice differs from lying only by intent.
The moment Rockstar says anything about PC, it will appear here with a link to the source. Until then there is nothing to say — and a short honest piece beats a long one made of nothing.
What to do if you play on PC
Practically: wait, and watch official announcements. The nearest point where something might become clearer is the extended look on August 27, 2026. What is promised is a look at the game, not a platform list, so do not count on a PC announcement specifically there.
If you would rather not miss it, the forum is where we break down every beat on the day it happens.
