What a pre-order gets you
The Vintage Vice City Pack — items that “flash back to when the neon burned brightest”. One detail is often reported wrong: the pack goes not only to pre-orders but to anyone who buys the game before November 20. There is no need to rush in the first days just for the pack.
A free month of GTA+ — included with digital pre-orders.
Ultimate Edition — a separate edition with premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and content “threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story”. More in the piece on editions; on money, see the price.
Disc or digital
The difference is not only the medium:
- Digital pre-loads from November 12, so the game is on the console before the 19th. Plus the month of GTA+.
- Physical copies go on sale November 12 with a download code inside the box — stated outright in the announcement. So the disc is about pre-loading too, not about playing offline.
Is a pre-order worth it
Practically: a pre-order buys no early access, and the cosmetic pack reaches launch-day buyers as well. What it does buy is pre-loading and the money already set aside.
Separately: GTA VI has had its date moved twice — see the delays. Pre-ordering months ahead is a bet that a third move will not happen.
